Stencil display script with calligraphic swashes and an italic
Kronaby is a stencil display script in which the calligraphic strokes broaden into swashes, the joins are cut away and an italic companion leans further, so a single name reads as a couture monogram.

Open counter bridges hold interior islands intact on laser-cut wood, acrylic, and mylar stencils.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The K opens a wide capital with a cut in its stem, the r finishes a swash arm, the o remains a full ring with a cut at the top, the n keeps two stems with a broken join and the y throws a long tail, all at a calligraphic contrast with stencil bridges cut through the thick strokes. The bridges are the character: they break the joins that a script would normally close, which is why the sample sets one name large in gold against a dark ground. Because the strokes alternate thick and thin, the face needs 40 pt upward and a smooth stock. The dark green ground, the window behind, the small caps in the corners and the italic banner are presentation; the gold display name is the face.

The stencil swashes give a bridal studio a mark with couture weight, and the cut stems print cleanly at 24 pt in one colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the atelier name at 24 pt, set the address in a 6 pt caps sans at the foot, and keep 12 mm of white so the swash under the name has room.
Pre-production check
A stencil bridge under 1 mm fills in on a coated card; check the printed card and open the bridge rather than the word.
The stencil swash gives a cover its couture edge, and the high contrast holds a single name at 100 pt over a dark image.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the name at 100 pt across the middle third, keep a 25 mm margin at each side, and set the issue line in a 9 pt caps sans 24 mm beneath.
Pre-production check
Gold printed on a dark uncoated sheet sinks and closes the bridges; check the proof and specify a coated stock for the light pass.
The stencil script suits a formal evening invitation, and the swash tail gives a two-name card a single gesture at 30 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set both names at 30 pt on one line, keep 20 mm of margin so the tail finishes inside the trim, and set the details in an 8 pt caps serif beneath.
Pre-production check
A long tail printed near the trim looks cut; check the imposed card and pull the line inward by 6 mm.
