Monoline handwriting with crossing loops and an italic cut
Handmade Signature is a monoline handwriting face in which the capitals cross their own stems, the ascenders loop tall and an italic cut leans the same shapes, so a name reads as a signature drawn with a fine pen.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The H sweeps a long diagonal through its own stem, the a closes a round bowl, the n keeps two even shoulders, the d rises into a tall loop, the e turns a light eye and the S curls a wide spine, all at one even monoline weight with crossing capitals and a second italic cut that leans further. The crossings are the character: they appear only on the capitals and give the word its signed look, which is why the sample sets two words with a pen photographed beside them. Because the line is even, the face needs 22 pt upward and a smooth ground to survive in print. The white paper, the fountain pen, the round badge and the small caps are presentation; the black script words are the family.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Handmade Signature’s stroke geometry.
The signed look suits a wedding stationery studio, and the monoline holds a two-word name at 20 pt on a card in one colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the studio name at 20 pt in the roman cut, set the strapline at 16 pt in the italic beneath, and keep 10 mm of white so the crossing capital has room.
Pre-production check
A crossing capital printed near small type looks cramped; check the card and open the gap by 4 mm.
The monoline signature suits a printed place card, and the even stroke keeps a first name readable at 18 pt on smooth card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 50 mm place card: set the name at 18 pt on the centre line, keep 8 mm of white above and below, and score the fold 25 mm from the top so the loop is not creased.
Pre-production check
A crease through a hairline loop opens the paper; check the folded card and score below the descender.
The script marks the end of a long designer profile, and the italic cut gives the sign-off a quick slant at 24 pt on a magazine page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 page: set the sign-off at 24 pt in the italic cut at the end of the column, keep 14 mm of clear space above, and set it flush right so it reads as a mark rather than as copy.
Pre-production check
A script set as a caption reads as body text; check the page and add a short rule above the sign-off.
