Fine highly flourished calligraphy with cascading loops below the baseline
Grayfon is fine calligraphy in which the flourishes outnumber the letters, with loops that cascade below the baseline and crossings that run across the whole word.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital G opens as a thin loop that rises well above the cap line and then coils into a narrow stem, and the lowercase is small and light in comparison: the r and the a close tightly, the y drops into a large descending loop, the f carries a long bar and the n stays low. What defines the face is the flourish programme: hairline loops leave almost every letter, run beneath the word and cross each other, so the silhouette becomes a network rather than a line of text. Contrast is high and the ends taper to fine points, which keeps the density readable at 40 pt and above. The white ground and the small tracked caption are presentation; the calligraphy is the word.

The cascading flourishes give a card its ornament without illustration, and the fine line keeps a heavily flourished word from becoming heavy on the page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set both names at 32 pt on a 120 by 180 mm card, set the details in a small caps serif at 8 pt, and hold 24 mm below the lowest loop so the details sit in clear space.
Pre-production check
Loops that cross the details block read as errors; check the proof at final size and remove one flourish rather than moving the details.
The flourish programme carries the stationer's own craft on a small card, and the fine line keeps the message readable at 20 pt in one colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the message at 20 pt on a 148 by 105 mm card, keep the studio name in a 7 pt caps serif, and leave 18 mm below the message so the loops are not cut by the trim.
Pre-production check
Fine loops under 0.1 mm disappear in digital print; check one card at final size and thicken the loops rather than the letters.
A flourished line earns the space of a title page, and the fine contrast keeps the title elegant above a page of dense verse.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 40 pt on an A6 title page, set the author in a small caps serif at 9 pt, and leave 18 mm under the loops so the first poem can start clean.
Pre-production check
Small formats squeeze cascading loops; check the proof at final size and reduce the number of flourishes rather than the point size.
