Visual anatomy & craft review
Everly Christmas is a spiralled monoline calligraphy script in which the loops coil into tight spirals above the x-height and the joins are drawn as one continuous even line. The spirals grow the word tall, and the monoline keeps the face honest at small sizes where a contrast script would break. It needs roughly 24 mm for the spiral coil to read, and it is best in one warm ink on ivory, or a fine foil above 36 pt where the spiral stays open.

A spiralled monoline script reads as hand-written rather than typeset, which is what a family Christmas card wants. The coils give the greeting movement at 24 mm, and one deep ink prints the card, the tag and the jar label on the same cream stock.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 24 mm with 8 mm coil clearance, message 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 12 mm with a 5 mm hole and 8 mm clear. Jar label 80 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 50 x 90 mm tag at 12 mm closes the spiral into a solid bead and the greeting reads as a smudge. Raise the tag word to 16 mm, and print one tag on the actual card stock before the batch.
A spiralled script gives a February card the intimacy of a written note rather than a printed slogan. The coils hold at 22 mm on a card, and one warm ink prints the card, the band and the sleeve from a single artwork.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, greeting 22 mm with 8 mm coil clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Ribbon band 200 x 30 mm, word 9 mm, 5 mm margins. Sleeve 160 x 80 mm, word 18 mm, 8 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On a 20 mm ribbon the spiral doubles at the fold and reads as a knot on the thread. Keep the band to one word in the plain variant, and wrap one bar before the order.
A spiralled monoline script holds a long name on one line at a December wedding where a high-contrast script would need two. The coils give the names movement at 28 pt, and one ink on smooth ivory keeps the even line alive.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 28 pt with 10 mm coil clearance, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 11 pt, 4 mm margins.
Pre-production check
An 11 pt place card thins the monoline under what a laser printer holds and the name breaks into dots. Raise place cards to 14 pt, and proof one card before the suite.
