Very tall narrow capitals with fine flat serifs and a single weight
Davello is a very tall capital serif in which the stems run high, the serifs stay fine and flat and the counters close to narrow slits, so a single word reads as a modern museum caption.

Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The D keeps a tall narrow bowl against a straight stem, the A carries a hairline left stroke and a low crossbar, the E holds three thin arms and the O closes an oval that is almost a rectangle, all at a light weight with a high contrast and flat unbracketed serifs. The proportions are the character: at 60 pt a five-letter word spans a wide plate without filling it, which is why the face suits architectural and editorial marks. Because the serifs and joins are hairlines, the face needs 20 pt minimum and a coated stock, and it wants generous tracking at small sizes. The taupe ground, the white ink, the tracked captions are presentation; the serif is the word shown.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Davello’s stroke geometry.
The tall narrow capitals read as a drawn inscription, and the fine flat serifs keep a wordmark restrained on a letterhead at 20 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A5 letterhead: set the studio name at 20 pt with 12 percent extra tracking, set the address in a 7.5 pt text serif at the foot, and keep 22 mm of margin so the hairlines are not lost against the paper edge.
Pre-production check
Hairline serifs under 0.12 mm drop out on an office printer; check one printed sheet and specify the print method before sending files.
The narrow capitals give a cover the composure of a gallery caption, and the tall proportions let a long title hold one line at 64 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 64 pt across the upper half, set the subtitle in a 10 pt serif beneath, and keep 20 mm of margin so the flat serifs stay clear of the trim on both sides.
Pre-production check
A high-contrast face printed on uncoated stock looks grey; check a press sheet and specify a solid ink rather than a tint.
The fine capitals read at 14 pt on a narrow carton panel, and the tall proportions let two short words stack without crowding.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 40 by 90 mm coated carton: set the line at 14 pt with 8 percent tracking, set the volume in a 4.5 pt caps sans at the foot, and keep 5 mm of margin so the hairlines are not cut by the panel edge.
Pre-production check
A carton board absorbs a hairline and thickens it; check a printed dummy and reduce the tracking rather than the weight.
