Copper Oval is a modern copperplate script with an oval axis, a smooth medium-bold weight, joining strokes that sit high and a measured slant of about twenty degrees. The weight is heavier than a classical copperplate, which keeps the hairlines alive on uncoated stock and lets the face work at small sizes. It needs roughly 20 mm for the oval and the high join to read, and it is best in one dark ink on cream or in gold foil on deep navy at 40 pt and above.
