Narrow pale capitals inside uneven upright rectangular cut-out blocks
Christmas Cutout is a decorative face in which each narrow capital sits inside its own upright rectangle, the rectangles vary in height and angle and the letter stays pale against the block, so a word reads as paper letters glued to coloured card.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The C closes a narrow crescent inside a tall block, the H keeps two thin stems, the R holds a small bowl and the S reverses through tight curves, all at a medium weight with flat ends, and every letter is centred in a rectangle that leans a degree or two and shifts in height. The variation is the character: no two blocks sit level, which is what makes the face read as a craft project at 40 pt rather than as a template grid. Because the blocks are the letters' ground, the face needs a second colour to work and cannot be set as plain type. The cream ground, the green and orange blocks, the small trees are presentation; the display face is the two words.

The blocked letters reproduce a paper-cut card at 30 pt, and the uneven rectangles give a printed card the look of something assembled by hand.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 105 mm card: set the greeting at 30 pt in two lines with 10 mm leading, keep the block edges at 2 mm inside the letter, and leave 14 mm of margin so the leaning blocks stay inside the trim.
Pre-production check
Blocks trimmed after printing crop unevenly; check the trim against the artwork and keep the outer blocks 5 mm inside the cut line.
Each block is a natural cut shape, so the face works as a printed garland where the letters are cut apart and strung at 35 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A3 sheet of blocks: set each letter at 35 mm inside its own block, keep 6 mm between blocks for the cut, and leave 8 mm of paper beyond each block so the string hole does not tear the corner.
Pre-production check
String holes near a block corner tear the paper; check one strung letter and keep 8 mm between the hole and the block edge.
The blocked letters read on a small kraft label at 12 pt and tie a hand-made product to its craft register without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 35 mm kraft label: set the product at 12 pt inside its blocks, set the price in a 5 pt sans beneath, and keep 4 mm of margin so the blocks are not clipped by the die corner.
Pre-production check
Kraft absorbs a pale letter and loses contrast; check a printed label on the actual stock and invert the colours if the letter disappears.
