Modern copperplate calligraphy with overhead swash loops and thick-thin contrast
Bunglon is a modern copperplate script in which the downstrokes carry weight, the hairlines stay fine and generous swashes arch above the x-height and below the baseline, so a single name reads as formal calligraphy.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The B opens a wide upper loop, the bowls swell on the downstroke and thin on the join, the ascenders carry tall loops and the swash set adds long arcs that clear the word above and below. The overhead swashes are the character: they frame a name without a border, which is why the sample sets one couple's name on a plain card. Because the swashes are long, a line needs 20 mm of clearance at both ends, and the joins must be welded before cutting from 1.1 inches of x-height. The pale ground, the fine rules and the small caps line are presentation; the dark calligraphic name is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bunglon’s stroke geometry.
The overhead swashes frame a short line, and the copperplate contrast keeps a date readable at 26 pt on a small printed card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 148 mm card: set the line at 26 pt, keep 18 mm at both ends for the swashes, and set the date and venue in a 9 pt caps beneath the lowest arc.
Pre-production check
A swash printed over a date line obscures it; check the card and keep 16 mm of clear ground under the script.
The romantic script suits a written note, and the heavy downstrokes stay legible at 22 pt on a folded card printed in one ink on a matte stock.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 148 mm folded card: set the line at 22 pt near the head, keep the fold 60 mm below the baseline so no swash crosses it, and leave the lower half blank.
Pre-production check
A fold scored through a swash cracks the ink; check the imposed card and keep 10 mm between the score and any stroke.
The calligraphic line gives a candle label elegance, and the contrast holds at 18 pt on a 45 mm round label where a heavy face would crowd the scent line.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 mm round label: set the name at 18 pt, keep 6 mm inside the die so the entry swash stays whole, and set the scent in a 6 pt caps along the lower curve.
Pre-production check
A long entry swash printed across the round edge distorts; check the wrap and keep the swash on the flat panel.
