Tall didone capitals with hairline serifs and a tight fit
Bodoni Elegant is a tall didone capital alphabet in which the stems carry a strong contrast, the serifs thin to hairlines and the fit stays tight, so a two-word title reads as a classical masthead.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The B closes two tall bowls, the O holds a narrow oval, the D turns a flat-sided bowl, the I is a plain stem with hairline serifs and the N keeps two thin stems with one hairline diagonal, all at a didone contrast with unbracketed hairlines and a tall cap height. The tight fit is the character: the letters nearly touch, which is how the sample sets two words as one block without shrinking them. Because the hairlines are fine, the face wants 36 pt upward and a smooth stock, and it should not be used below a caption size. The blue drips and waves, the white ground and the small line beneath are presentation; the dark title is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bodoni Elegant’s stroke geometry.
The tall didone sets a long publication title on one line, and the hairline serifs give the masthead a classical authority at 110 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A3 cover: set the masthead at 110 pt, keep 20 mm of margin at each side, and set the contents line in a 9 pt caps sans 30 mm under the baseline.
Pre-production check
Tight didone capitals can close on the L and the A; check the imposed page and add 1 percent tracking rather than reducing the size.
The classical contrast gives a wine shop a mark with age to it, and the tall capitals stay crisp on a small label at 22 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 45 mm label: set the shop name at 22 pt, keep 5 mm of border, and set the trade lines in a 6 pt serif beneath so the two weights do not compete.
Pre-production check
Hairline serifs on a small die-cut label get clipped by the cut; check the die and keep 4 mm of ground around the word.
The formal didone suits a church order of service, and the tall capitals keep a long pair of names on one line at 26 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A5 cover: set both names at 26 pt on the centre line, set the date and place in a 10 pt caps serif 20 mm below, and keep 18 mm of margin for the hairline serifs.
Pre-production check
A hairline serif printed near the trim looks broken; check the cover and keep every stroke inside 90 percent of the page.
