Tall fine mixed case framed by long upper and lower sweeps
Band is a fine high-contrast mixed case in which a tall capital opens broad thin bowls, an upper stroke sweeps away from the final ascender and a lower curve leaves from the a, so a name reads as a swept editorial line.

Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The B rises on a fine stem into two wide bowls, the d lifts its ascender and sends a stroke upward and away, the a trails a low curve to the right and the joins thin at every junction between thick and hairline. The two sweeps are the character: they frame the word without enclosing it, which is why the sample sets one name on a dark portrait. Because the extensions travel, a layout needs 18 mm above and 16 mm at the right from 26 pt, and the face wants coated stock before the hairlines hold. The portrait and the dark ground are photography; the pale lettering and its sweeps are the face.

The two sweeps frame a cover line without a drawn rule, and the fine contrast keeps a two-word title readable at 56 pt over a dark portrait. The pale ink also keeps the sweep from reading as a drawn rule.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 56 pt across the calm band of the portrait, keep 20 mm of clear ground above for the upper sweep, and set the credit at 9 pt in a caps at the foot.
Pre-production check
A hairline sweep printed over a lit highlight vanishes; check the cover proof and move the title to a shadowed area.
The swept serif gives a studio a quiet mark, and the fine joins stay readable at 26 pt on a card where a heavier face would dominate the white. The lower curve keeps the mark from looking centred and static.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the studio name at 26 pt, keep 14 mm at the right for the lower curve, and set the address block at 7 pt in a neutral sans at the foot. with the block left-aligned under the name.
Pre-production check
A sweep printed close to an address block touches the first line; check the card and keep 12 mm of clear ground.
The fine sweep suits a modern suite, and the open bowls keep a pair of names clear at 24 pt on heavy coated card stock. Hairlines survive only on a smooth coated sheet, so a matte stock is a risk.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set the names at 24 pt, keep 18 mm above for the upper stroke, and set the venue at 9 pt in a neutral serif with 14 mm of clear ground beneath. so the two lines never share the sweep.
Pre-production check
Hairlines printed at 24 pt on a textured card break at the joins; check the proof and keep the names on a smooth coated sheet.
