Letterform structure
of Super Creative.
The two words are stacked and each letter is a solid block: the strokes are very heavy, the counters are small, and the white inline runs just inside the contour, which is what gives the letters their dimensional, sticker-like look. The outline is offset in one direction and the inline meets it at a consistent distance, so the treatment has to stay fixed across a set or the block falls apart. The bounce keeps the pair friendly rather than monumental, and the tight spacing lets the two lines lock. Because the forms are so fat, the face works at poster and sticker size only, and the specimen sets it large on a pale ground with line-drawn objects that belong to the product imagery rather than the letterforms.
