Script with a narrow looping B and long g descenders
Background Signature is a signature-style script in which a narrow capital B opens a loop, the lowercase joins lightly and the g descenders fall long across two lines, so a name reads as a written signature rather than a display script.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The B closes a narrow loop, the lowercase joins stay light and even, the g letters drop long descenders that cross the second line and the capital S extends below its own word. The long descender is the character: it makes a two-line name feel signed, which is why the sample sets two lines with the S reaching down. Because the descenders travel, keep 24 mm between rows from 28 pt and let the second line stay short; the sample's floral border is artwork and the joins cross it deliberately.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Background Signature’s stroke geometry.
The long descenders give a valentine a signed feel, and the light joins keep two short lines readable at 28 pt on an A6 card. The single descender does the work of a flourish.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the two lines at 28 pt with 24 mm between the baselines so the g descenders clear the row below, and keep 18 mm of clear card at each end. Keep the card flat rather than folded.
Pre-production check
A descender printed into the second line tangles with its letters; check the card and open the row gap to 26 mm.
The signature look suits a studio label, and the narrow capital stays clear at 20 pt on a 55 mm panel in one ink. The loop on the capital gives the label its one gesture.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 35 mm label: set the name at 20 pt, keep 8 mm beneath for the descender, and set the town in a 6 pt caps at the foot with 4 mm of clear ground. Centre the name on the panel.
Pre-production check
A light join printed under 0.5 mm disappears at label size; check the proof and keep the name at 18 pt or above.
The signed look softens a note card, and the even stroke keeps a short line clear at 26 pt across an A6 sheet. The long tail gives the line its finish without a swash.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the line at 26 pt across the upper third, keep 20 mm beneath for the long descender, and leave the lower half blank for a written message. Keep the card unfolded at the centre.
Pre-production check
A descender printed into the blank writing area is smudged by a pen; check the card and keep 14 mm of white beneath it.
