Visual anatomy & craft review
Sports Jersey is a collegiate jersey slab serif with a built-in inline outline: heavy extended blocks whose stems carry a groove inside a keyline, thick unbracketed slabs and a small inward notch on the terminals that reads as a stitched jersey patch. The inline is the design and it fills when the face is reversed or set small. It needs roughly 32 mm for the inline and the keyline to read, and it is best in two flat inks on jersey, or one thread colour where the inline becomes a stitch line.

An inline jersey slab reads as a stitched patch rather than a printed name, which is what a school team wants on its kit. The inline holds at 90 mm on a back print, and two flat inks print the shirt and the banner from one separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Shirt back 300 x 400 mm, word 90 mm with 12 mm inline clearance, 20 mm margins. Patch 90 x 60 mm, word 40 mm, 4 mm edge margin. Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 180 mm, 40 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
An embroidered patch at 40 mm merges the inline into a solid stitch block. Keep patch lettering at 46 mm or above, and approve one sample before the order.
An inline jersey slab announces a sports birthday inside the lettering. The inline holds at 44 mm on a topper, and two flat inks print the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 44 mm with 10 mm inline clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 48 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A 130 mm topper cut along the inline leaves a 1 mm groove that tears on the stick. Cut toppers to the outer silhouette, and test one before the party.
An inline jersey slab reads as a stitched sportswear mark rather than a corporate logo. The inline holds at 26 mm on a card, and two flat inks print the sign and the card from one file.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 26 mm with 8 mm inline clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Woven tag 50 x 25 mm, word 10 mm, 2 mm margin. Shop sign 900 x 400 mm, word 120 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 50 x 25 mm woven tag at 10 mm closes the inline entirely and the word stitches as a solid bar. Use a printed tag at 14 mm, and check one sample before the run.
