Very heavy condensed display sans
Neue Gustland is a very heavy condensed mixed case shown in dark green on a bright acid ground: tall narrow letters with tight bowls, a sharply cut N diagonal and thick even strokes, set in two large lines with a small tracked block beside the first line and three notes along the foot.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word fills the sheet in two lines and the drawing is a condensed display sans at the extreme of weight: the bowls are tight ovals, the N diagonal is cut at an angle rather than drawn in, and the strokes are thick enough that the letters read as a band of tone with white slits. That construction sets a moderate size floor, because the slits close first, and the acid ground makes the dark green vibrate, which is a fair test of the pairing. The small block beside the title and the three notes along the foot are product copy that name the style, the support and the studio. Because the letters are tall and heavy, the face suits a poster, a package and a shirt.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Neue Gustland’s stroke geometry.
A very heavy condensed face fills a poster in two lines, and the slits read from a queue where a lighter face would blur.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A1 poster: the festival at 200 mm cap height, the dates in a 26 mm sans, and the gate at 12 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A1 at six metres, where a slit can close; keep it above 4 mm. Confirm the 12 mm gate reads at two metres and that the dates clear the title on both sides.
A heavy condensed label names a can from across a shelf, and the tight bowls survive a small die where a light face would fail.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 90 mm label: the brand at 15 pt, the flavour at 8 pt, and the volume at 7 pt. Keep 5 mm inside the die and keep the slits above 0.5 mm on the curve.
Pre-production check
Check the 15 pt brand on a curved can, where a slit can fill; keep it above 0.5 mm. Confirm the 7 pt volume reads on the shelf and that the label holds in a cooler.
A heavy condensed title fills a cover with one word, and the even strokes hold at thumbnail size on a shelf. It fills the width in one word.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 110 mm cap height across 190 mm, the subtitle in an 8.5 pt sans, and the year at 7 pt. Print two colours on a matte stock and keep 20 mm margins at the head.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 110 mm, where a slit can fill with ink; keep it above 0.4 mm. Confirm the 7 pt year survives lamination and that the title clears the trim.
