Tall narrow monoline hand
Monoline Handwriting is a tall narrow hand in black on white: fine even strokes, high ascenders, a small x-height and a quick forward rhythm that keeps an eleven-letter word inside a card.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked, the first shorter than the second, and the face is a monoline hand: the M is a narrow pair of peaks, the o and the n are small, the l and the H rise well above the x-height, the w and the r are compact and the g drops a straight tail below the baseline. Nothing connects except in a few loose joins, the stroke is even and light, and the ratio of ascender to x-height is unusually large, which is what gives a small word its height. Two tracked capital lines frame the block above and below, and the ground is a plain white sheet. Monoline Handwriting is a hand for stationery, labels, packaging and short editorial, and it works at moderate sizes because the stroke is not hairline, though it needs leading rather than a tight stack.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Monoline Handwriting’s stroke geometry.
A tall narrow hand gives a minimal card the height it needs, and the even stroke prints reliably on textured stock at card size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 24 pt on one line, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9 pt, and hold 18 mm of margin on all four sides of the card.
Pre-production check
Tall ascenders crash into a line above; print one invitation at the finished size and check the leading before the suite.
A quick hand reads as a personal note on the back of a card, and the narrow letters fit a long studio name on a single line.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the studio name at 17 pt on one line, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the contact block at 6.5 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on both sides.
Pre-production check
A monoline at seventeen points can look thin on an uncoated card; proof one and check the weight before the order.
A tall narrow hand keeps long surnames inside a small card, and the calm rhythm keeps a row of cards from looking crowded.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 40 mm place card: set the name at 15 pt on one line, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the table number at 6 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
The tallest ascender can hit the card edge; print one card with the longest name before the set.
