Thin monoline signature script
Mama is a thin monoline signature script in black on white: an oversized capital with a wide entry loop, low connected lowercase with even strokes, and a long exit that runs past the word, so the phrase reads as a name signed with a pencil.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The drawing is a signature rather than a calligraphic script: the stroke never varies, the lowercase letters are squat and rounded, and the connections are drawn as flat links, which keeps the word readable while looking written fast. The capital is the one dramatic shape, opening in a large loop and returning to the baseline before the second letter starts, and the exit stroke carries the same weight to the end. Spacing is loose, so the phrase takes width and needs a clean ground, which the specimen provides with a white page and a pencil entering the frame. Two small tracked captions in a light roman sit beneath, so the page reads as a stationery sample, and the even thin stroke means the face works for personal marks rather than for headlines.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Mama’s stroke geometry.
A monoline signature gives a place card the look of a hand-written name, and the even stroke stays consistent when a couple writes thirty cards themselves from a template.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print A4 sheets of 12: each name at 22 pt, the table number in an 8 pt roman, and 6 mm between the cards. Keep 8 mm inside the trim so the entry loop is never cut, and print one ink on a cream card.
Pre-production check
Check the 22 pt names, where the entry loop can run into the trim; centre the name on the widest letter. Confirm the 8 pt table number reads across a table and that the sheet cuts cleanly on a guillotine.
A signature mark reads as a person rather than a company, which is the right tone for a solo studio, and the monoline stroke reduces to a small stamp without clogging.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 20 pt on a card and 10 pt on a sticker, with an 8 pt roman descriptor at 200 units tracking. Keep the mark one colour and leave clear space equal to the capital loop on every side.
Pre-production check
Check the 10 pt sticker, where the thin stroke can fade; keep the size above 9 pt or thicken the weight. Confirm the mark reads on a kraft sticker and that the descriptor does not crowd the exit stroke.
A signature script gives a thank-you note a personal voice, and the light stroke leaves room for a longer message beneath without the card looking crowded.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 folded card: the greeting at 26 pt, the message in a 9 pt roman at 13 pt leading, and the signature line at 16 pt in the script. Keep 14 mm margins and print one ink on a soft white card.
Pre-production check
Check the 26 pt greeting, where the capital loop can collide with the message block; keep 10 mm of clear space. Confirm the 9 pt message reads comfortably and that the 16 pt signature line has room for a real hand-written signature beside it.
