Visual anatomy & craft review
Bubble Christmas is a puffy winter bubble display with hollow rounded letters carrying scalloped snowcaps across their tops, so a word reads as a sticker of snow-covered balloons. The hollow construction makes the letter an outline, and the caps add height above the cap line that the layout must reserve. It needs roughly 26 mm for the scalloped drift to read as snow rather than as a wobble, and it is best in ice-blue outline on white or in white on a deep blue panel.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bubble Christmas’s stroke geometry.
Snow-capped bubbles read as a cosy seasonal prop, which is what a family door sign and a biscuit tin need. The hollow outlines take a tint fill for a two-tone print, and the scallop gives the tag a festive edge without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 50 x 90 mm, name 9 mm with 6 mm headroom, hole 5 mm with 6 mm clear card. Tin label 90 x 60 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm border. Sign 400 x 300 mm, word 90 mm, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Snowcaps rise above the cap line and get cropped when a tag file is fitted to a die. Measure the artwork from the top of the caps, and check one printed tag before the batch.
Puffy snow-capped lettering reads as a winter market rather than a Christmas shop, which lets a stall run through January. The hollow forms hold at 120 mm on a sign in one ink, and the snowcap gives the word height above a crowded stall banner.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 120 mm with 25 mm headroom, 40 mm margins. Banner 1500 x 400 mm, word 240 mm, 100 mm margins with eyelets every 500 mm. Sleeve 180 x 60 mm, word 18 mm, 5 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A cup sleeve wraps a taper and the snowcap distorts at the top edge of the sleeve. Keep the caps inside the flat centre band, and check one sleeved cup before the market opens.
Soft snow-covered bubbles read as a school winter fair, which is what a parent committee prints on a poster and a label. The hollow outline prints in one colour on a school copier, and the round forms cut easily as a 60 mm cake-stall tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 200 mm with 20 mm headroom, details 20/26 pt, 25 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, word 30 mm, message 8/11 pt. Label 60 x 90 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 12 mm label word closes the hollow interior and the snowcap turns into a solid blob on a school copier. Keep labels at 18 mm or use the outline only at sign size, and check one copy before the fair.
