Bold condensed sans display
Tickets is a bold condensed sans in red on a dark striped ground: heavy stems, narrow counters, flat terminals and a tall x-height, set edge to edge with a tracked header and credit above and below, so the word reads as a ticket stub headline.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word is set once, filling the plate, and the drawing is a grotesque compressed and thickened: the stems are wide, the counters are slits, and the terminals are cut flat, which keeps the letters distinct at extreme proportions. The red on dark gives maximum contrast without an outline, and the diagonal stripes behind the type add movement without competing with the letterforms. Because the weight and the compression push together, the face asks for a large size, and the specimen respects that by setting one word huge with three small tracked lines above and two beneath. Nothing else appears on the page, which is honest for a display face whose only job is scale.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Tickets’s stroke geometry.
A condensed heavy sans reads at distance and fits a long event name on a poster band, and the flat weight prints in one ink without registration issues.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 portrait: the event at 140 mm cap height, the date in a 24 mm sans, and the venue at 14 mm. Keep 25 mm margins, print red on a dark ground, and align the date to the same baseline as the venue block.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at six metres, where narrow counters can close; keep the counters above 5 mm. Confirm the 14 mm venue reads at three metres and that the date does not collide with the headline's descenders.
A condensed sans fits long event names on a narrow stub, and the heavy weight stays legible at the small size a ticket actually prints at.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 50 by 150 mm stub: the event at 12 pt, the date in a 7 pt sans, the seat at 8 pt. Keep 4 mm margins and print one colour on a light stock so the counters stay open at that size.
Pre-production check
Check the 12 pt event on the stub, where a narrow counter can fill; keep the size above 9 pt. Confirm the 7 pt date reads at arm's length and that the stub survives a tear along the perforation.
A condensed heavy title gives a guide the look of a printed listing, and the narrow width lets the word run the full cover width without a second line.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 130 mm cap height across 210 mm, the season in a 10 pt sans, and the issue at 8 pt. Print two inks on a coated stock and keep the stripes as the only background element.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 130 mm, where the tight spacing can merge two letters; open it by 8 units. Confirm the 10 pt season reads at newsstand distance and that the title holds at thumbnail size.
