Wide fine signature with long swashes
The Billion is a wide fine signature in black on white: hairline monoline letters, a capital T that runs above the line as a long bar, and an S whose swash sweeps under the word and returns in one continuous gesture.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The specimen sets The small and Billion large, and the face is a signature rather than a calligraphy: the t is a cross above the word, the h and the e are narrow and quick, the B is a single looped stroke and the S of the second line opens a swash that travels under all seven letters and closes with a short return. The stroke is a consistent hairline, the slant is light, and the letters are only loosely joined, so the block reads as a name signed at speed rather than written out. The sheet is empty white with two tracked capital lines and a round badge noting that the set ships in two styles, a regular and a monoline cut, which is useful where a signature has to sit on a small label. The Billion is a signature script for marks, editorial and packaging, and it needs a large size for the hairline.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to The Billion’s stroke geometry.
A signature reads as a founder's name on a document, which is the impression a small consultancy wants on a card, and the swash supplies the design.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the studio name at 18 pt on one line, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the contact block at 6.5 pt, and hold 6 mm of margin so the swash clears the trim.
Pre-production check
The hairline swash can drop out on uncoated card; proof one card and check the weight against the letters before the order.
A signature style gives two names the intimacy of a signed card, and the long underline replaces a printed rule on a minimal design.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 24 pt on one line, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin so the swash is not trimmed.
Pre-production check
A hairline underline disappears at small sizes; print one invitation at the finished size and check the swash before the suite.
A signed column ends with a hand rather than a byline, and the fine stroke keeps that mark quiet at the foot of a printed page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 297 mm page: set the signature at 30 pt at the foot of the column, keep 8 mm of clear ground above, and hold 20 mm from the outer edge on both sides of the page.
Pre-production check
Thin strokes on newsprint fill in; print one page on the intended stock and check the signature reads before the issue.
