Visual anatomy & craft review
New Year Wishes is a decorative party block in bouncy uppercase, with confetti dots, stars, zigzags and stripes filling the interior of each letter rather than sitting behind the word. The blocks are slightly irregular, which gives the face a hand-cut rhythm, and the interiors are coarse enough to survive print at 20 mm but fill below about 12 mm. It is a banner and card face: loud, festive and short-phrase only, best in two or three bright colours against a pale ground where the patterns stay separate.

Confetti-filled letters carry the celebration in the letterform, which means a party can be themed without props. Coarse interiors survive being cut from card and printed on a curved cup.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Banner letters 150 mm on 2 mm card, 5 mm hole, 30 mm margins, 45 mm pitch. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 10 mm from the rim. Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 18 mm, message 7/10 pt.
Pre-production check
A confetti pattern inside a letter at 20 mm on a curved cup distorts at the wrap edges. Keep the patterned letters to the flat centre of the wrap, and check one cup proof before the party order.
Pattern-filled blocks read as party dressing, which suits a New Year card that goes out in the same week as everything else. The busy interiors separate it from a conventional festive card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 120 x 170 mm, greeting 24 mm, message 8/12 pt, 14 mm margins. Insert 90 x 55 mm, word 10 mm, 3 mm border. Tag 45 x 90 mm, word 9 mm, hole 5 mm clear, 3 mm trim margin.
Pre-production check
New Year cards are mailed late and printed in a rush on whatever stock is available, and a busy interior prints muddy on uncoated paper. Choose a coated card for the patterned letters, and check one proof at 100 percent.
Confetti letterforms read as a printed celebration for an outdoor event, where a quieter face would get lost among flags and lights. Two colours keep a long banner affordable.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 340 mm, 120 mm margins, eyelets every 500 mm. Card 90 x 55 mm, word 10 mm, 3 mm border. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 110 mm, 40 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Festival banners are printed on mesh so wind passes through, and fine interior patterns break up on the weave. Ask for a solid-backed print or increase the pattern scale, and check one hung banner from the crowd distance.
