Visual anatomy & craft review
Nadya is a romantic upright calligraphy script with more than seven hundred glyphs and curls: a moderate contrast stroke on a nearly vertical axis, wide oval bowls, joined letters and curled entries that turn back over the word. The glyph count means a phrase can be tuned with alternates so no two joins repeat, and the curls need side clearance. It needs roughly 26 mm for the curl and the join to read, and it is best in one fine ink on smooth card, or a foil impression above 38 pt where the curls still turn.

An upright calligraphy script with hundreds of alternates signs a wedding invitation in a hand rather than a plate. The curls hold at 28 pt, and the alternates keep a long double surname from repeating a join.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 28 pt with 12 mm curl clearance, details 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Vow card 105 x 148 mm, text 9.5/13 pt.
Pre-production check
At 9.5 pt in the vow card the hairlines silt on textured stock and the text reads as a grey block. Use smooth stock or raise the text to 10.5 pt, and proof one booklet before the set.
A curled calligraphy script reads as an engraved mark rather than a wordmark, which is what a bridal atelier wants on a seal. The curls hold at 24 mm, and the alternates let the mark be tuned per item.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 24 mm with 12 mm curl clearance, details 7/9 pt, 8 mm margins. Box seal 40 mm round, monogram 22 mm, 3 mm die margin. Tissue band 300 x 60 mm, word 20 mm, 10 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 40 mm seal at a 22 mm monogram fills the curls into a solid disc. Use the initials alone on seals, and pour one seal before the batch.
A romantic upright script gives a spring celebration a written title rather than a typeset one. The curls hold at 30 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the welcome sign in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, title 30 mm with 12 mm curl clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Welcome sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins. Banner 1200 x 400 mm, word 140 mm, 25 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
On a 600 x 400 mm sign the curled entry runs past the printed area and gets trimmed. Keep the word inside a 25 mm margin with 12 mm extra to the left, and inspect one sign before hanging.
