Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Decagon Type is a Y2K display that pairs ten-sided faceted outer walls with soft liquid cutouts inside the counters, so each letter reads as a machined shell with something poured into it. The contrast between hard outer edges and curvy interiors gives the face its period signature, and the weight is heavy enough to hold a silhouette at poster size. The inner curves are the detail that disappears first, so it needs roughly 30 mm, and it is at its best in white or chrome-like flat colour on a dark ground.

Faceted shells read as a rendered graphic, which is the reference a Y2K release wants. The heavy outline keeps a word solid at thumbnail size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 312 x 312 mm plus 3 mm bleed, word 220 mm, credits 7 pt. Sleeve 312 x 312 mm, word 200 mm. Flyer A5, word 120 mm, lineup 10/13 pt, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Streaming thumbnails at 55 px close the interior curves and the letters read as blocks. Check one render at that size, and keep the title to one word so the silhouette survives.
Machined shells read as a technical product mark, which is what a techwear drop is buying. Faceted walls survive a die-cut sticker where a fine texture would tear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Hangtag 60 x 120 mm, word 18 mm, 5 mm clearance around the punch, 3 mm trim. Can badge 45 mm wide, word 14 mm, 4 mm from the seam. Shirt print 280 x 160 mm, word 60 mm, 40 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A can badge at 45 mm cannot hold the interior curves and the letter fills solid. Use the solid cut for small badges, and keep the faceted interior for surfaces above 100 mm.
Chrome-era shapes set a decade theme in one word, which a teenager's party can carry without props. Heavy forms cut cleanly as a topper.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, name 18 mm, details 4.5 mm, 10 mm margins. Topper 150 x 120 mm, name 55 mm, 8 mm stick slot. Sticker sheet A6, six 30 mm dies, word 8 mm, 2 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A die-cut topper cannot follow the faceted corners and they get rounded off. Extend the die or accept the rounding deliberately, and check one cut topper against the design before making a set.
