Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital A opens as a narrow loop that rises from the baseline, crosses its own stem and continues into the following letters without lifting, and the lowercase stays small and light: the u and the r close small bowls, the e loops back, the l rises into a plain stem and the i carries a light dot. Weight is a true monoline with rounded ends, the slant is a gentle ten degrees and the spacing is generous, which is what makes the word read as a signature rather than as a calligraphic display. The flat baseline means the face stacks well with a sans beneath it without looking restless. Counters stay open at 16 pt. The black ground, the white ink and the two tracked caption lines beneath are presentation; the script is the word.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Aurelia’s stroke geometry.
The even light line keeps a formal card quiet, and the generous spacing lets a long surname hold a single line at 26 pt without condensing.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set both names at 26 pt on a 148 by 105 mm card, set the date in a small caps serif at 8 pt, and leave 18 mm at each end so the loops finish inside the trim.
Pre-production check
A light monoline printed on cream stock can look grey; check the proof and darken the ink rather than thickening the line.
The monoline weight reproduces in foil and in one-colour print, and the open spacing keeps the mark readable at 14 pt on a narrow label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the brand at 14 pt on a 40 by 75 mm label, keep the product type in a 5 pt caps sans, and leave 6 mm of clearance so the loop is not cut by the label edge.
Pre-production check
Foil on a thin monoline bridges at the joins; check a foil dummy at final size and thicken the joins rather than the whole line.
The signature slant reads at small size on an envelope front, and the flat baseline keeps the mark level with the address block beneath it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the names at 20 pt in the centre of a 110 by 220 mm envelope, set the address block in a 10 pt serif below, and hold 14 mm between the names and that block.
Pre-production check
An envelope crease can cross a join; check the artwork against the fold and move the mark down if a join breaks on the crease.
