Foundry portfolio · Serif · Display
gatype works serif and display lettering with a light-filled, optimistic mood. Gilferos is refined, Lightes is softer and more contemporary, and the three releases suit packaging and lifestyle branding.

Light weights look elegant on screen and vanish in print. Choose the heavier cut for anything on textured stock.
Substantial mixed case with short visible serif feet and curved terminals
Gilferos is a substantial mixed-case family shown in its footed cut, where the stems carry weight, the bowls stay broad, short serifs sit flat on the baseline and the f curls its top, and the listing advertises seventy-two styles from condensed to expanded.

Experimental rounded display
Lightes is an experimental rounded display in amber on black: mixed case in which the g loop drops below the baseline, the h carries a rising curl and the t foot is shortened, with swelled strokes and tight spacing, set as one word with a small line above and two notes at the foot.
