Fine serif with crossing loops
Mitra Macro is a fine serif in cream over a dark portrait: tall caps with hairlines, a swash that leaves the M and crosses beneath both words, and a loop that returns from the R, with four small corner notes naming the alternates and the studio.

Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked and the drawing is a fine display serif whose loops are the structure: one stroke leaves the M and sweeps under both lines, another returns from the R, and the two cross, so the block reads as one drawn object. That construction demands a large size and generous margins, which the plate supplies by keeping the words short and the sheet wide. The corner notes are tiny tracked caps and they name the alternates, the ligatures and the studio, which is the practical information a buyer checks. Because the stems are hairlines, the face works on smooth stock at display sizes, and the dark portrait behind it is a contrast test that the cream passes. The composition is deliberately sparse so the loops are the only movement.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Mitra Macro’s stroke geometry.
A fine serif with crossing loops reads as luxury, and the drawn strokes give a short name a signature that holds on a box and a bag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 20 pt on a box, 90 mm on a bag and 13 pt on a card, keeping the loops only above 22 pt. Keep one colour and reserve clear space equal to the loop depth.
Pre-production check
Check the 13 pt card mark, where a loop can close the line above; drop it at that size. Confirm the bag mark reads at four metres and that the loops stay inside the panel.
A fine serif with crossing loops gives a cover movement, and the hairlines let the photograph show through instead of hiding it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the masthead at 105 mm cap height across 210 mm, the cover lines in an 8 pt serif, and the issue at 7 pt. Print one ink on a coated stock and keep the type over the darkest area.
Pre-production check
Check the masthead at 105 mm, where a loop can collide with a cover line; keep 14 mm clear. Confirm the 7 pt issue survives lamination and that the loops clear the trim.
A fine serif gives a formal invitation a drawn flourish, and the hairlines hold in foil on a smooth card without a second ornament.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A5 invitation: the names at 26 pt, the request in a 9.5 pt serif, and the date at 8.5 pt caps. Keep 28 mm margins so the loops have room and foil one colour on a deep card.
Pre-production check
Check the 26 pt names in foil, where a hairline can break; keep it above 0.3 mm. Confirm the 9.5 pt request reads at arm's length and that the loops clear the trim by 14 mm.
