Tall textured brush script
Mellarose is a tall textured brush script in white over a dim photograph: narrow letters, dry broken edges and a light forward lean, with two tracked captions beneath.

Visual anatomy & craft review
Mellarose fills the middle of the card in one word, and the lettering is drawn with a dry brush: the M opens with a tall shoulder, the e and the l are narrow, the a is a small bowl and the r and the s carry short arms, and every stroke breaks into streaks at the ends where the brush lifted. The letters are tall relative to their width and lean forward as a group, so the word reads as written quickly on a textured surface. The ground is a dim photograph of someone reading with a coffee, which leaves the white script the only bright element, and two tracked captions at the foot name the style and its mood. The face is a textured script for packaging, cards and editorial: the dry edges need a large size to read as texture rather than as damage, and it works best in one light ink on a dark ground.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Mellarose’s stroke geometry.
A dry brush script in white on a dark board reads at a distance in low light, and the texture keeps a plain sign from looking machine-printed.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 500 by 350 mm board: set the greeting at 100 pt on one row, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 22 pt, and hold 22 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Dry brush edges can look like a worn plate when painted by hand; print one board at the final size and check the finish before the set.
A textured script on a bag reads as roasted in small batches, and one light ink on a dark label is the cheapest possible print.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 90 mm bag label: set the roaster at 18 pt on one row, keep 7 mm of clear ground beneath before the roast at 5 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
White ink on kraft can look chalky; print one on the real bag stock and check the texture before the order.
A tall dry script gives a portfolio cover a made look, and the narrow proportions fit a long studio name on one line without shrinking it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 297 mm cover: set the name at 90 pt on one row, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the line at 12 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Textured strokes over a photograph need a dark area behind them; print one cover and check every stroke is legible before the run.
