Fine sweeping calligraphy
Mellintina Calligraphy is a formal script in fine white hairlines on black: pointed-pen contrast, closed oval capitals and flourishes that sweep out well beyond the words on both lines.

Visual anatomy & craft review
Mellintina sits above Calligraphy, and the two words are joined by ornaments rather than spacing: the capital M opens into a large oval loop, the C of the second line sweeps down and out to the left, and a flourish from the end of each word runs across the card and turns back on itself. The stroke is pointed-pen, with thick downstrokes and hairlines on the up, so the script holds together at a large size and thins to almost nothing at a small one. The ground is black with soft shadows, and two small captions above and below give the style and the file type. The face is a formal script for invitations, certificates and luxury packaging: it needs a lot of margin for the flourishes, it is best in one light colour on a dark ground or the reverse, and it should not be set below a size where the hairlines survive.

The sweeping flourishes give a couple's names the depth of an engraved card, and they can be used to fill a wide invitation without extra ornament.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 30 pt on one row, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9 pt, and hold 16 mm from the outer flourish to the card edge.
Pre-production check
Hairlines at 30 pt can break on uncoated card; print one invitation on the intended stock and check a connector before the suite.
A formal script on a dark bottle reads as a hand-lettered label, and the flourishes give a plain box the finished corner it would otherwise need an ornament for.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 by 80 mm label: set the house name at 15 pt on one row, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the volume at 4.5 pt, and hold 4 mm from the flourish to the die line.
Pre-production check
Flourishes run off a narrow label; print one at the real size and check both ends before the order.
One flourished script word signals a luxury or craft issue, and in white on a dark cover it reads from a shelf where a small serif would not.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 100 pt on one row, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 12 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin so the flourishes stay inside.
Pre-production check
White hairlines on black can look thin in print; print one cover and check the flourish weight at the final size before the run.
