Visual anatomy & craft review
Hi Valentine is a geometric monoline print with heart counters and heart accents: an even thin stroke, wide round bowls, a heart replacing the dot on the i and a small heart cut into some counters. The monoline keeps the face honest at small sizes, and the heart counters close first when it shrinks. It needs roughly 22 mm for the heart counter and the monoline to read, and it is best in one warm ink on ivory, or a fine red on white where the hearts stay open.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Hi Valentine’s stroke geometry.
A print face with heart counters gives a February card the motif inside the lettering rather than printed beside it. The hearts hold at 24 mm, and one warm ink prints the card, the seal and the band in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, greeting 24 mm with 8 mm heart clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Seal label 38 mm round, word 7 mm, 3 mm die margin. Ribbon band 200 x 30 mm, word 9 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 38 mm seal at 7 mm closes the heart counter into a dot and the greeting disappears under wax. Use an initial only on the seal, and print one sheet before the batch.
A monoline print with heart accents gives a spring fair a light hand-drawn poster rather than a modern flyer. The hearts hold at 90 mm on a poster, and one ink prints the poster and the stall cards in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 90 mm with 10 mm heart clearance, details 28 mm, 18 mm margins. Stall card 105 x 75 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Bag label 90 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On a 90 x 50 mm bag label at 16 mm the heart accent merges into the bowl and the word reads as a dotted line. Raise the label word to 22 mm, and print one label before the batch.
A geometric print with heart counters reads as a hand-drawn stationery mark rather than a corporate logo. The monoline holds at 20 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the cover in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 20 mm with 6 mm heart clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Notebook cover 148 x 210 mm, word 34 mm, 15 mm margins. Envelope 160 x 110 mm, word 14 mm, 10 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On an 85 x 55 mm card the monoline lands near 0.2 mm and a laser printer breaks it into dots. Raise the card word to 24 mm, and print one card before the order.
