Heavy condensed variable sans
TRT Burn is a very heavy condensed sans in near-black on vermilion: capitals with broad flat stems, tight bowls and almost no counters, set as one word at full width with small tracked notes at the four corners and a paragraph of specification text along the foot.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word fills the plate and the drawing is a brutal condensed sans: the stems are wide, the bowls are tight, and the counters are slivers, so the word reads as a slab of ink rather than as letters with air. That construction sets both a size floor and a use case, because the counters close below a certain size, and the plate sets the word large enough that the slivers remain visible. The vermilion ground gives the black an edge, and the small notes at the corners and the paragraph along the foot carry the style, the variable range and the terms, which is more specification than most specimens offer. Because the letters are heavy and tight, the face suits a poster, a record sleeve and a headline, and a buyer should add tracking before setting a long line.

A brutal condensed sans fills a sleeve with one word, and the tight counters read as sound rather than as copy. The counters are the design, not an accident.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 120 mm cap height across 200 mm, the artist in a 10 pt sans, and the label at 8 pt. Print one ink on a coated stock and keep 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 120 mm, where a tight counter can fill on coated stock; proof it. Confirm the 8 pt label survives lamination and that the title clears the trim.
A heavy condensed face turns a night name into a wall, which is what a street poster needs to stop a passer-by. Street posters need weight, not detail.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A1 poster: the night at 260 mm cap height, the date in a 24 mm sans, and the venue at 12 mm. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A1 at five metres, where a tight counter can read as a solid block; keep the slivers above 3 mm. Confirm the 12 mm venue reads at two metres and that the date clears the block.
A brutal condensed sans holds a long gym name on a narrow fascia, and the heavy stems read under a light box at night. It reads at night under a light box.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Fabricate a 1,000 by 320 mm sign: the gym at 120 mm cap height, the hours in a 22 mm sans, and a 4 mm rule. Keep 22 mm margins and specify an even backlight.
Pre-production check
Check the sign at 120 mm, where a tight counter can fill with light; keep it above 6 mm. Confirm the 22 mm hours read at three metres and that the rule clears the fixings.
