Heavy slanted script with sweeping swashes
Sunday is a heavy slanted script in black on pale grey: fat downstrokes, fine joins, a sweeping entry swash and a long exit that curls under the whole word, framed by drawn corner scrolls.

Visual anatomy & craft review
sunday is set lowercase across the middle of the card, and the lettering is a modern calligraphy with a pronounced thick-and-thin: the s and the u are broad, the n and the d carry heavy stems, the y drops into a loop that swings back beneath the word, and the entry stroke sweeps in from the left before the s begins. A second sweeping stroke runs from the final y back under the whole word and lifts at the left, so the word sits on a drawn base rather than a straight rule. Around the card, four drawn corner scrolls frame the composition in the same ink, and a curved caption above and a straight one below name the style. The face is a formal script for invitations, packaging and signage: it needs a lot of width for the swashes, it should be printed in one dark ink, and the hairlines need a large size.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Sunday’s stroke geometry.
A heavy calligraphy with a sweeping base gives a couple's names the weight of an engraved card, and the swash fills a wide format.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 30 pt on one row, keep 22 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9 pt, and hold 18 mm of margin for the swash.
Pre-production check
Fine joins break on textured card; print one invitation on the intended stock and check a connector before the suite.
A calligraphic label reads as a made object rather than a product, and the sweeping swash fits the curve of a round jar lid.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 mm round label: set the shop name at 15 pt on one row, keep 6 mm of clear ground between the swash and the rim, and leave 7 mm beneath for the street at 4.5 pt.
Pre-production check
The swash runs into the rim on a round die; print one at the real size and check both ends before the order.
The script fits a tall menu where the heading sits above the courses, and the drawn base gives the fold a natural bottom edge.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 210 mm menu: set the heading at 26 pt on one row, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the courses at 9 pt, and hold 14 mm of margin on both sides.
Pre-production check
A long swash over a tall format can overrun the measure; print one menu at the finished size and check the ends before the set.
