Visual anatomy & craft review
Shistella spans the card in near-black on a pale ground, and the lettering is drawn as if with a pointed nib: the downstrokes are broad, the upstrokes thin to a hair, and the joins between letters are loops rather than connections. The capital rises above the x-height and swings out to the left in a wide swash, and the final a finishes with a small flick. Botanical branches in soft pinks frame both corners, and two captions sit above and below in spaced caps, the lower one naming the extra ornament. The construction is the familiar modern-calligraphy script, and its practical requirement is space: the swash and the loops need air, so it is best used for a name, a title or a short phrase rather than a sentence.

The swash capital gives a couple's names a single elegant gesture, and the hairline contrast photographs well on a printed card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 210 mm invitation: set the names at 34 pt on one row, keep 22 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9.5 pt, and hold 16 mm from the swash to the card edge.
Pre-production check
Hairlines drop out in letterpress; print one invitation in the intended process and check the thinnest join before the suite.
The painted botanical preview shows the pairing the script is built for, and a florist can put the shop name on a box without a separate illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 65 by 45 mm box label: set the shop name at 16 pt on one row, keep 5 mm of clear ground beneath before the street at 4.5 pt, and hold 4 mm from the lowest loop to the die line.
Pre-production check
Loops sit close to a die and a hairline script loses its thinnest join at label size; print one label at the real size and cut it before the order.
The script reads as fashion rather than as greeting-card, and one word at the top of a page sets a tone that a serif cannot.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm opener: set the feature word at 110 pt on one row, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 11 pt, and hold 18 mm from the swash to the trim.
Pre-production check
Large hairlines band on coated stock; print one opener on the intended paper and check a join before the issue.
