Light lowercase serif with tall ascenders and a deep narrow f descender
Alforine is a light lowercase serif in which the stems stay fine, the bowls round broadly, the ascenders rise tall and the f drops into a narrow deep curve, so a single lowercase word reads as quiet fashion lettering.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The a closes a broad round bowl, the l rises on a plain light stem, the r projects a small terminal over an open shoulder and the f descends into a slow narrow curve below the baseline. The deep descender is the character: one letter carries the vertical movement, which is why the sample sets a lowercase word across a light dress at large size. Because the hairlines are fine, the face wants coated stock from 16 pt and the f needs 14 mm of clear space beneath the line. The dress photograph and the small slanted line are presentation; the pale lowercase title is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Alforine’s stroke geometry.
The lowercase setting suits a quiet cover, and the fine serif holds a one-word title at 64 pt over a fabric photograph. The f descender wants the plainest part of the image beneath it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 64 pt in lowercase across the calm band of the image, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath the f descender, and set the standfirst at 10 pt in a serif.
Pre-production check
Fine hairlines printed over fabric folds disappear; check the cover proof and place the word on a flat area of the photograph.
The light lowercase gives a label its softness, and the fine stems stay readable at 24 pt on a coated carton in one ink. The size line stays small so the wordmark keeps its air.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 90 mm carton: set the wordmark at 24 pt in lowercase, keep 10 mm of clear space beneath for the f curve, and set the size in a 6 pt caps at the foot. The f curve stays on the flat front.
Pre-production check
A light serif printed on an uncoated carton spreads at 20 pt; check the proof and keep the wordmark at 22 pt or above.
The fine lowercase suits a contemporary suite, and the round bowls keep a pair of names readable at 24 pt on heavy card stock. Lowercase names read as a modern suite rather than a formal invitation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set the names at 24 pt in lowercase, keep 18 mm beneath for the f descender, and set the venue at 9 pt in a light serif below. Keep the names on one line where the card allows.
Pre-production check
A descender printed into a venue line collides with the first word; check the proof and keep 15 mm of clear ground.
