Foundry portfolio · Script
hptypework writes groovy script and autography-style handwriting. Groovy is loose and seventies-flavoured, Autography is a personal signature, and the two releases cover retro graphics and journals.
Before you buy from this studio
Groovy letterforms depend on swollen bowls. Check the counters at label size where the swell closes shapes.
Retro connected script
Groovy is a compact connected script drawn from late-sixties and seventies advertising, where the letters join in a rounded loop and the whole word keeps the squat, cheerful proportions of that period rather than the tall slant of a calligraphic hand.
Sharp angled signature script
Autography is a signature script built on sharp angles: strokes turn at points rather than curves, the slant is consistent, and the ascenders are drawn as straight diagonal lifts.
