Foundry portfolio · Serif · Sans serif
Propertype pairs a contemporary serif with a new sans. Artrend is editorial, Neue Reman Sans is neutral, and the two releases are built as a system for brand and publishing work.
Before you buy from this studio
Sans and serif from one studio usually share proportions. That makes them a reliable pairing for a two-voice layout.
Open contrasting serif with softly curved shoulders and a variable range
Artrend is a modern serif with open contrast, softly curved shoulders and a variable range across weight, width and slant, so one family can carry a title and a caption without a second typeface.

Heavy grotesque variable family
Neue Reman Sans is a heavy grotesque in white over a collage: wide even strokes, flat terminals, tight counters and a circular registered mark, presented as a seven-weight variable family with a sidebar of technical notes, so the plate reads as a type-specimen cover rather than an advert.
