Open serifs are forgiving at small sizes. Check the italic if the layout needs a second voice.
Decorative ligature serif
Arches sets one word in dark ink on a warm neutral field, where wide flat serifs sit on hairline cross strokes, the A climbs to a sharp apex, the R leg sweeps into a long horizontal tail that runs beneath the following letters and the S closes with an extended curl.

Fine serif title surrounded by large spiral extensions
Healing shows light contrasting mixed-case letters with narrow upright stems and rounded bowls, where large loops rise above the centre of the word and sweep below the title, and the H and g carry curled outer strokes over a dark portrait.
Contrasting capitals linked by large low circular sweeps
Astrid shows white high-contrast capitals on slate blue beneath leaf-like shadows. The S extends into a large lower loop near the A, the R sends a sweeping leg beneath the final narrow capitals, and a thin upper connection visually joins part of the central title.
